  First time at Chatters, Okotoks, AB. Called for an appointment and received friendly, efficient service. Booked in with Jesse who was wonderful. She was friendly, easy-going and best of all she was very good at what she does. She asked questions to make sure of what I wanted and checked in with me as she was doing the cut and style. She was efficient but didn't rush it. It is the best haircut I have had and at 56 years old, I've had a lot of haircuts. Would definitely recommend Jesse.

  Oliver is the ombre master and so much fun. I always look forward to going in, having a coffee and a chat, and coming out with gorgeously cut and colored hair. Thanks Oliver!!

  I went to this location about 15 months ago requesting a wave perm, one of the biggest hair mistakes of my life. When I called to book the consultation appointment, I asked if they had a perm specialist and was assured they did. During my consultation I was told the large curls I wanted wouldn't work and was recommended a spiral perm with their largest roller. While my hair was being wrapped during my actual hair appointment, I expressed concern about the small size of the rods and was told they were the largest available for a spiral and not to worry, the curls would loosen. Totally false, I came out with terrible tight curls that never did loosen up. The cut I was given was just a trim of my layers at the time, which were fine for straight hair but not curly (I had a literal reverse shelf effect). I was never told how to properly care for the curls, this I had to learn from another salon I went to for a proper curly cut. After going back and forth with the salon, I expressed my dissatisfaction to the head office and was just redirected back to the salon (who finally just offered a 20% discount on any straightener, with any subsequent emails being ignored). I generally keep my hair at a mid-back length but have been forced to keep it above my shoulders for the last year, as I slowly cut this horrible perm out. I'm finally down to my last three inches, it's almost over. Terrible experience overall, still dealing with the effects today, can't say I would recommend this salon to anyone.

  I wish I could remember who recommended Mackenzie at Chatters in Okotoks so I could thank them. I had heard mixed reviews about Chatters for a while so it took some convincing to get me to go and am I ever glad that I did. Maybe it is because Mackenzie is new to this location but they are sure lucky to have her. She gave me a great cut, that suits me and my lifestyle. I love it. It is fun and easy to manage and style and looks great. Price was reasonable, she was quick and efficient and friendly and on time. Everything I look for in a hairdresser. I hope they know what a gem they have. More stylists like her and they might just shake the so-so reputation they have around town. I have been searching for a while for someone with skills and it seems I have found her!
